The Wanne Museum
The Museum has moved into a former school in the superb village of Wanne. Its collections include many historical, religious and folkloric etc. artefacts. Round off your visit with a discussion over a cup of coffee.
Focusing on rural life past and present, the museum offers 300m² of exhibition space on 3 levels. You will find a wide range of artefacts, from the cobbler’s tools to the wooden horse, from grandma’s copper kettle to the chainsaw from the ‘50s. You will also find new donations and loans, resulting from partnerships with other museums. Young and old alike are invited to come to the former classroom and play at hopscotch, spinning tops or roulette. After your visit, join the others in the “friendship room”, drink a cup of coffee, discuss, and “reminisce awhile, tell or listen to stories”, since the museum’s slogan is “assioz’on pô, l’êwe va cûre” (take a seat, the kettle’s on the hob).

The museum is open all year round, Thursday - Sunday: 2 – 6 pm. Closed Monday - Wednesday. Only by appointment for groups.
