Topiary Park (Buxus Garden)
It is not every day you see a collection of buxus sculptures. You should come have a look at the Durbuy Topiary Park, one of the biggest in the world, in the smallest city in the world, where you can find over 250 beautifully made figures.
The 10,000 square metre park shows topiary art of all different forms, from elephants over squirrels and crocodiles, to kayaks. Even Yves Saint Laurent personally ordered a buxus shrub depicting the famous YSL logo.
Albert Navez is the man responsible for the art. It shows that he does an amazing job, since some of the plants are over 120 years old and still fresh and green. The Topiary Park in Durbuy is ideal for a family day out.
Would you like to have a live view of the clipping of the trees and shrubs? Then you should plan a visit late May or in the month of June.
The Topiary Park is just one of the many sites worth visiting in Durbuy. Book an Ardennes-Etape holiday cottage to really get to know the region of the Belgian Ardennes, and the small town of Durbuy in particular.
