Railbike Hautes Fagnes
Railbike Hautes Fagnes (in English: High Fens) offers probably the most original activity in the breath-taking region of the Belgian Ardennes. In the tiny village of Leykaul (part of Bütgenbach), just a few metres from the German border you can discover the area on train rails, using a specially adjusted go-cart, also called draisine, dressin or velorail.
The departure point as well as the route is obviously fixed, which makes the activity suitable for people with less than great eyesight. The pedal karts have a maximum capacity of four adults and a minimum of two people is recommended for the ride to be smooth and fast enough.
Admire the glorious scenery of the Hautes Fagnes nature park as you travel along a renewed railway track.
Young or not that young, as a family or between friends or colleagues, Railbike Hautes Fagnes is definitely one of the most original ways to spend a holiday or a sunny afternoon.
