Entre Ferme et Forêt - Animal Park and Train
Hop on the minitature train in Rochehaut for a one-hour trip through the Semois-valley. Starting at the Taverne de la Fermette, the train leads you to the Entre Ferme et Fôret farm (Between Farm and Forest), where you can admire over 30 different extraordinary animals.
This animal park in the beautiful Belgian Ardennes shelters many sorts of deer, enormous draught horses, wild boars, ostriches and even a wallaby (a type of kangaroo). With a bit of luck you will encounter a spitting llama or a proud peacock showing off its colourful feathers. Brown and white goats serve as zero-emission lawn mowers.
The 400,000 square metre domain was founded in 2003 by Michel and Marc Boreux. The two brothers introduced a wide variety of local and foreign animals.
Kids will definitely love a ride on the miniature train and all the different animals, while their parents and grandparents enjoy a relaxing and informative journey through fields, forest and vineyards in the Bouillon area, in the province of Luxembourg, close to the French border.
