Ardennes-Etape, 100 per cent Ardennes! In the province of Luxembourg, close to the city of Bastogne, lays the municipality of Vaux-sur-Sûre. It’s a wonderful piece of Belgian Ardennes just next to the grand duchy and is named after the river Sûre springing on its territory. Vaux-sur-Sûre is less than half an hour’s drive from Anlier, where one of the most astonishing forests in the country ensures the most beautiful hikes.
Saint-Ode is located between Saint-Hubert and Bastogne in the beautiful green setting in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes. It is home to the Nature Park Deux Ourthes, the departure point of many hikes. Over 400 kilometres of hiking trails in the area are signposted. Bastogne is just a few minutes away, Durbuy is less than an hour’s drive away.
Bastogne is one of the most important places for historic tourism in Belgium. The city was the scene for a key moment during World War II. Several museums tell the story and background of the Battle of the Bulge. Outside the city centre you can fully enjoy the breath-taking beauty the Belgian Ardennes, one of the most beautiful regions in Western Europe, has to offer.
