The Castle of Modave
Considered like one of the most beautiful castles bordering the Meuse, Modave is really essential for lovers of architectural beauties.
Located on a rocky peak, the Castle of Modave, some parts of which date back to the 13th century, is, in its present appearance, the work of Jean-Gaspard-Ferdinand de Marchin who, from 1652 to 1673, restored and adapted it.
The Castle contains twenty rooms richly decorated and furnished. Surprising stucco and tapestry from the 17th century, table set with faience of Gien and crystals of Val-St-Lambert of the 19th century. Various activities are also planned such as musical evenings, theatre in July and a special decoration for the Christmas holidays.
