Caves of Remouchamps
The Remouchamps Caves have been open to visitors since 1828. It's one of the classic activities in the Belgian Ardennes: a 75-minute underground trip, on foot or by boat. Absolutely worth a visit!
The Caves of Remouchamps have already been visited by tourists since 1828. The torches made out of wax which were used by the first visitors, only gave them a vague impression of what one can see now with the splendid lighting. The feeling of mystery probably weighed more heavily than seeing the underground beauty...
The longest underground navigation of the world!
It already suffices to enter a few tens of meters into the cave in order to be practically immune to the daily temperature swings. A little bit further into the cave, the temperature stabilizes during the whole year, between 8°C and 10°C.
