Bouillon

Bouillon is absolutely mandatory if you love history and cultural visits. The little city is completely dominated by the impressive castle, but has a lot more to offer. Karting, wildlife parks, kayak rental,... Everything for a perfect stay in the Belgian Ardennes. Furthermore, La Roche-en-Ardenne, another great Ardennes city is just about an hour's drive away.

Bouillon

The little town of Bouillon is known in the first place for the medieval castle. This area deep inside the Belgian Ardennes is beautifully green and is crossed by the river Semois. Furthermore, there is a lot to see and do in the Bouillon area.

Floating over the river Semois in a kayak or a canoe ensures a delightful summer day. The many hikes and mountain bike trails in the province of Luxembourg lead you to the most impressive panoramic viewpoints. Maps are available at the Maison du Tourisme (Tourist Information Centre).

A holiday cottage in Bouillon or its surrounding area is the perfect departure point to start exploring the region.

Semois Aventure

One of the experts in adventurous outdoor activities in the Bouillon area is Semois Aventure. Via Ferrata, death-ride and abseiling are scheduled and you get the chance to discover the Belgian Ardennes from a completely different – and adventurous – point of view. You will not regret your choice!

Bouillon Animal Park

The park residents live in semi-liberty. This gives an extra dimension to the contact between animals and visitors. Local animals live in the Bouillon Wildlife Park; however, you will just as well find exotic species, such as lions, tigers and little monkeys.

Bouillon Castle

The fortress is very much present in the city of Bouillon. A lot is to be learned about the history of feudal life in the region on having a closer look at this construction. The remains are impressive and many activities, such as the falconry show and the medieval festival, take place on site.

Archeoscope Godefroid of Bouillon

The spectacle trail in the Archeoscope tells the story of Godefroid of Bouillon and his crusade to Jerusalem. Visitors are invited for an exciting journey through time.

Kayak Les Epinoches

Kayaks and canoes in all sizes and of all types are for rent at Kayaks Les Epinoches, the starting point for your descent on the river Semois.

The place to be for horseback riding is Les Cavaliers de Saint-Remacle. Years of experience horseback riding or none at all, the owners offer a customized expedition for everybody (minimum age 12).

For more original activities you can head to Cap Nature. Its Les Captifs de Sion is an exciting 3 hour-long underground activity in the slate mine.

Are you in the neighbourhood and in dire need of a drink or a meal? We can recommend Beau Séjour. We had a delightful dinner and the restaurant staff was very friendly.
