In 1872, the Maredsous Abbey was built by monks of the Benedictine order in a Neo-Gothic style, in the valley of the river Molignée. It makes a great departure point for many hikes through this beautiful region.
The monks of the Maredsous Abbey give everyone a warm welcome and explain their way of life and their spirituality. They are a link between tradition and the modern world. Guided tour in French and in Dutch
During the Easter, summer and Christmas holidays: opened daily ate 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
For the rest of the year, on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Outside of these periods and hour schedules, only upon reservation.
