Castles, Citadels and Abbeys in the Ardennes

The most impressive castles and abbeys are to be found in the Belgian Ardennes. The monasteries and the ruins of medieval castles are witnesses of many centuries of local history. The citadels of Namur and Dinant are the best known. Some of these buildings have even been restored in their original glory.

Abbaye de Maredsous
